About

Bringing gastroenterologists together

The European Society of Comparative Gastroenterology (ESCG) - created not long after the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM) was founded in 1994 - has made tremendous impact in bringing together veterinarians interested in gastroenterology, especially in small animals.  As a non-profit organisation, the core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication of our volunteer board in bringing our members together to network, research and exchange knowledge about gastroenterology. Since 2017, we have our own dedicated spring meeting - EuroGUT - where members socialise, discuss and learn about novel aspects in gut, pancreatic and liver diseases straight from the experts to make meaningful difference for our small animal patients.
